Plate formula; Po, cp, 4’, 6’’, 5c, 2+s, 6’’’, 2’’’’

Phototrophic cells with well-developed theca. Cell body fusiform. Apical horn and left antapical horns are fully developed whereas the right antapical horn is rudimentary. The epitheca tapers into an antapical horn that is lightly curved. The antapical horns are closed.

Size; 15-30 µm wide, 150-300 long.
